POLICIES & WAIVERS
A safe, welcoming Swim Center depends on everyone following facility rules, lifeguard instructions and shared-pool expectations.
Before You Enter the Water
- A lifeguard must be present and on duty before anyone may use the facility.
- Follow all lifeguard directions.
- Appropriate swimwear is required.
- Children who are not toilet-trained must wear swim diapers.
- Children younger than 9 must be accompanied by an adult age 18 or older.
- Only U.S. Coast Guard-approved personal flotation devices are permitted.
- Patrons are encouraged to shower before and after swimming.
Swim Center Rules
- A lifeguard must be present and on duty before anyone may use the facility.
- Follow all lifeguard instructions.
- Failure to follow lifeguard instructions may result in removal from the facility.
- Running, fighting, intimidation, rough play and horseplay are prohibited.
- Do not sit or hang on lane lines or hang your feet from the gutters.
- Diving blocks may be used only with permission.
- Swimmers must demonstrate adequate swimming ability before using the deep pool or diving boards.
- Appropriate swim attire is required.
- No glass is allowed anywhere in the facility.
- Food, beverages other than water and gum are not allowed on the pool deck or in the pool.
- Alcohol and tobacco products are prohibited.
- Balls, toys and games are allowed only during open swim.
- Only U.S. Coast Guard-approved personal flotation devices may be used.
- Be courteous and considerate of other Swim Center users.
- Profane or obscene language is prohibited.
- Inappropriate affectionate behavior is not permitted.
- People with contagious diseases or infectious conditions should not use the Swim Center.
- Pollution of the pool is prohibited.
- Do not blow your nose, spit, urinate or deposit foreign material in the pool.
- Children younger than 9 must be accompanied by an adult age 18 or older.
- Children who are not toilet-trained must wear swim diapers.
- Patrons are responsible for their own belongings.
- Day-use lockers are available.
- Patrons must provide their own locks and remove them at the end of the day.
Lap Swimming and Shared Pool Space
Circle swimming means keeping the center line on your left while swimming in both directions. Swim Center management may modify the circle-swim policy based on facility needs.
- Coaching or teaching people who are not family members is not allowed without approval from Swim Center management.
- Family members may be coached only from within the water.
- Contact Swim Center management with questions about coaching or instruction.
Swim Center Waiver
All Swim Center users must have a current Waiver of Liability on file.
Waivers are valid only for active pass holders or swim lesson participants and must be renewed each academic year.
